Trainee Engineering Machinist

A fantastic opportunity to join a successful and expanding engineering company of manufactured fabricated aluminium components has arisen in the market town of Whittlesey. The company has guaranteed work for the upcoming future and secured repeat orders going forward.

Applicants with experience using any of the following machinery, would have a clear advantage -Horizontal Borers, Centre Lathes, Radial Drills, & Milling Machines. Experience, working with Aluminium Elbows/Reducers/Flanges would also be beneficial along with working to ASME / EN tolerances’. In house, on site, training provided for the right candidate.

Job Type – Trainee Machine Operator.

39 hrs per week. Overtime when available

Hourly Rate Negotiable – previous experience considered (To be reviewed after 3-month probationary period)

Profit Sharing Bonus Scheme (Induction after 3-month probationary period)

Required experience – Some engineering experience would be beneficial – In house, on site, training provided.

4 Day week – 6:00am – 16:15pm Mon-Thur Factory based.

Trainee Quality Control Inspector

A fantastic opportunity to join a successful and expanding engineering company of manufactured fabricated aluminium components has arisen in the market town of Whittlesey. The company has guaranteed work for the upcoming future and secured repeat orders going forward.

Applicants should have some knowledge and/or experience of working with ASME / EN Specifications, interpret engineering drawings, reporting and recording measurements of components, and be able to inspect manufactured items to a high standard and accurately use a variety of measuring equipment i.e Vernier Calliper, Depth Gauges. A use of general workshop tools and small machines i.e. grinders 4”/9”, Skil saws, drills, abrasive wheels, hand tools and hand power tools would be advantageous. Aluminium fabrication experience would also be beneficial.

Packing and dispatch of some items inspected, would be required from time to time to support smooth running of the business.

Internal training will be provided to the right candidate, and opportunities will be available to gain Quality and NDT qualification to support your personal growth.
